Students at Gautier High School put on blood drive

Blood is always in need and especially now because of the coronavirus, so students at Gautier High School decided to host a blood drive.

The students incorporated a blood drive with a fundraiser to help those in the community and help raise money to go towards scholarships for students.

Each person that gave blood received Mardi Gras socks and a Mardi Gras t-shirt.

Students tell News 25 how one person giving blood will save many lives. “With our goal being 60 and each donation saving three lives, that’s 180 people that we could potentially save. We always need blood, just cause things happen, but especially with COVID right now, it’s a really big deal we have enough for everyone.”

Gautier High School will host more blood drives throughout the year to help out the community.
