Stone County No Longer a Dry County

Stone County is officially changing its status from a dry county. These results came in today after the computer used to count the ballots crashed last night.
Wiggins was the only city allowed to sell beer and light wine but now voters have chosen to remove the entire county from under the dry law. Businesses in all municipalities will be able to sell beer, wine and alcohol above five percent.
Most of the voters News 25 spoke with yesterday said they were indifferent on the law but more interested in how its passage could impact the county’s economy.
