Stone County Community Easter Egg Hunt

If you live in Stone County and want to support the local fire department while having family Easter fun, head over to the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department in Wiggins. The Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a community Easter egg hunt.
Starting at 10 a.m. children can search for over 500 eggs filled with prizes. They can also meet their fire department, tour the station and the new fire safety house to learn what to do in case of a fire.
Magnolia Fire Department Assistant Chief Doyle Hatten says this is an effort to reach out into their community. “Magnolia took over the Northwest Fire Department and we’re trying to get community relations in the area. What we’re doing, we had a smoke house donated to us by Pearl River Fire Service and we’re going to open that up to the public over there and just try to get to meet and greet the community. We’re going to have an egg hunt and fun for the kids and mainly to meet the community.”
If you would like to go, the Easter egg hunt takes place Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department. Hot dog lunch plates with pork and beans, a drink, and dessert will also be available for $4.
