Stolen Decorations Recovered for Biloxi Lighthouse

Good news in Biloxi: It looked like the Grinch may have stolen Christmas after decorations were stolen from the Biloxi Lighthouse Tuesday night, but Wednesday afternoon, Biloxi Police recovered the decorations!

Biloxi Historical Association Director, Bill Raymond, says he and some volunteers put decorations back up Wednesday afternoon in preparation for the lighting of the Biloxi Lighthouse Thursday night.

Raymond says, “We are excited, because tomorrow is our official kickoff for Christmas in Biloxi, and without the light in the lighthouse, it would have been a letdown. So I was excited I was able to get them back. There was some damage to them, so we have to work around that, but tomorrow when visitors come out for the lighting at 5:30, it will look exactly the way I intended it to. So I’m really happy about that.”

Christmas in Biloxi will kick off Thursday at 5 p.m. with Santa, cookies, and hot chocolate.
