State of Mississippi Must Issue Marriage Licenses to Same-Sex Couples

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has lifted the stay of the preliminary injunction. Meaning Mississippi must issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Attorney General Jim Hood issued a statement today saying Mississippi’s laws prohibiting same-sex marriage are now officially declared unconstitutional and unenforceable by the federal court.
