State lawmakers calling for FEMA review of flood insurance
A few years ago, FEMA came up with what’s called Risk 2.0. It assesses risk and premiums for the National Flood Insurance Program.
Mississippi’s two senators, Roger Wicker and Cindy Hyde-Smith, have joined other members of Congress in calling for a review of 2.0, saying it’s creating hardship for businesses and homeowners.
Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney joins us to talk about it.
