State Lawmaker Cooking Up Free Turkey Give-A-Way In Gulfport

For those of you planning to cook your own holiday feast next week – it’s hard to believe, but we are only one week away from Thanksgiving, and one South Mississippi state representative is ready to help you get a leg up on next Thursday’s feast – with a free turkey, but only while supplies last!

District 119 State Representative Sonya Williams-Barnes has teamed up with Chama Gulf Coast to host the 7th Annual Community Turkey Give-A-Way.

Free turkeys will be given out next Tuesday, November 26th at Lockett-Williams Mortuary in Gulfport, starting at 6 pm . Turkeys will be served on a first-come, first served basis, and will be given out only as supplies last.

Event organizers ask that only those who are truly in need, and challenged to afford the traditional turkey at Thanksgiving, to show up for a free holiday turkey.

Lockett-Williams Mortuary is located at 2018 31st Avenue in Gulfport. Again, the give away begins Tuesday evening at 6 pm.
