State Doctors Oppose Telemedicine

Doctors are taking to the state capitol today in opposition of a “Tele Medicine” house bill.

Members of the Mississippi State Medical Association are rallying against the bill that would allow out-of-state physicians to diagnose and treat Mississippi patients exclusively via phone.
State physicians fear that tele medicine cannot support adequate medical diagnoses and will result in fragmented treatment as well as damage the state’s financial health.
