St. Stanislaus head football coach resigns

Despite reaching the second round of the class 4A playoffs in 2017, the St. Stanislaus football program is in the market for a new head coach for the second time in as many years.

After one season at the helm, Jeff Jordan tells News 25 he’s stepping away from coaching to open a business in Bay St. Louis. WXXV was the first outlet to break this story.

Jordan says he officially resigned today and that his departure from SSC was on good terms.

Last season, the Rock-A-Chaws went 6-6 overall despite losing four division I players from the year before.

Overall, Jordan was at Stanislaus for three seasons, serving as an assistant under former head coach Bill Conides for the first two.
