St. Paul Parade rolls in Pass Christian

This weekend, the annual St. Paul Mardi Gras Parade took place in Pass Christian. Despite the rain, News 25’s Jaylon Morris was there to cover this event.
If you thought locals in Pass Christian wouldn’t show up to the St. Paul Parade, well you were wrong. Marie Sheppard with Krewe of Party People said, “The people, the love, the Coast. We just love to come over to the carnival season to fellowship.”
Sheppard, along with family and friends, have a float called Krewe of Party People which was established in 1981. However, this krewe does more than just throw beads to locals. “We’ve progressed and we’ve expanded throughout the community and do various things throughout the community. Community projects and everything.”
The St. Paul Parade had food, fun, and plenty of fellowship to go around, even a little rain didn’t stop the fun. Part of the fun was asking the Krewe of Party People exactly what all of the other floats had to offer at the parade. “We have everything. We have beads, bears, we have hula hoops. We have spears. We have everything,” said Shepard.
That was great news for locals at the St. Paul Parade. “We love the Coast and Happy Mardi Gras from the Krewe of Party People,” said Sheppard.
