St. Patrick basketball’s Nick Krass commits to Ole Miss

The St. Patrick boys basketball team is coming off one of the best seasons in program history and even though it didn’t end up the way the Fighting Irish had in mind, there’s still plenty of excitement for the road ahead.

Late last night, Nick Krass gave his verbal pledge to the Ole Miss Rebels, making good on their offer from back in January.

The junior shooting guard was a big part of St. Patrick’s run to the third round of the playoffs, culminating with an overall record of 24-5.

As far as the individual numbers go, Krass was second on the team in scoring with more than 17 points per game, second in rebounding with more than five per game, first in assists with almost four per game, and first in steals with right at three.

The former News 25 Student Athlete of the Week tells News 25 “A lot of schools were in contact with me, but I knew from the start how special Ole Miss was and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.”

For what it’s worth, Krass says he’s going to look dashing in those powder blue Ole Miss threads.
