St. Alphonsus Catholic Celebrates Birthday of Dr. Seuss
Monday in Ocean Springs, St. Alphonsus Catholic School celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss and took part in Read Across America.
Students dressed up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character and had a chance to eat green eggs and ham for lunch. At the end of the school day, there was a parade to show off the costumes. This was in conjunction with the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center of Arts and Education. The students seemed to enjoy dressing up and shared with News 25 what they’ve learned from Dr. Seuss books.
The students say: “Think about the good things and to be positive.”
“Be yourself and there’s nobody like you.”
“Unless you care about it, if you want to do something about it, it’s not going to change.”
Dr. Seuss would be 111 years old today.
