SRHS drive-up hospital prayer event

In a show of support for health care workers and COVID patients, many gathered at all three Singing River hospital locations across the Coast for a group prayer.

Dozens of cars filled the parking lot of Singing River’s Ocean Springs Hospital and turned on their flashers as a sign of support.

Participants prayed for medical staff and patients while staying in their cars.

Gautier resident Wallace Easley and his wife have been praying for all those impacted by COVID since the beginning of the pandemic. “We came out last year and we continually pray for the people that take care of the COVID patients. My heart goes out to them. And they’re just wonderful people to do that and to do what they have to do on a daily basis and we just pray that this is the end of this.”

Earlier today, Singing River CEO Lee Bond named Ocean Springs as one of the hottest spots for COVID on the Coast.
