Spring Arts Festival

The 26th annual Spring Arts Festival was held in Ocean Springs this weekend.

The festival featured local artists, shops, and vendors. More than 150 artists, crafts, and food booths were on hand for the event.

New to the festival this year was free art and cooking demonstrations, allowing festival-goers to learn new tips.

Starting in 1993 in a small parking lot, the Spring Arts Festival has become a staple in not only the Ocean Springs community, but the Coast. Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cynthia Sutton said, “This is a great place, it has a great impact in our community, not just downtown, but all over Ocean Springs to have an event like this. People come from all over, not just here in Mississippi, but we have people that are out here for the weekend from Pensacola, from New Orleans that are just coming out here to check out the vendors and shop with us and of course hangout and eat with us.”

The Ocean Springs Fresh Market is held every Saturday in downtown Ocean Springs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
