Special Needs Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving may still be few days away, but some groups are getting a head start on the celebrations.

Sunday, the City of Biloxi and multiple other organizations hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for anyone with physical or mental disabilities and their families.

The event gave members of the community a chance to connect over dinner and games. Biloxi Parks and Recreation Director Cheryl Bell said, “My favorite part is just seeing everyone enjoy each other. You know we have people who come with all types of disabilities from physical to mental, but they all come together and just enjoy each other. It’s all inclusive is what I am trying to say. It’s very heartwarming to see people interact with those who are different.”

If you would like to get involved contact the Biloxi Parks and Recreation Office at 228-388-7170.
