Special Needs Mardi Gras Ball

With all of the Mardi Gras parades and balls taking shape on the Coast, there’s one that stands out above them all, guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

The Special Needs Mardi Gras Ball took place at the Donal M. Snyder Community Center. Everyone was encouraged to wear their best Mardi Gras attire.

Along with free admission, there was free food as well as free door prizes. Mister wasn’t the only one throwing anything as the DJ threw down some groovy tunes as participants hit the dance floor.

Of course, what’s a ball without crowning a royal court? “We crowned a king, queen, duke, and a duchess. Being that it is Mardi Gras season, it’s very important that everybody on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is able to enjoy Mardi Gras Mississippi Gulf Coast style.”

You also can’t have a Mardi Gras ball without king cake in which everybody had their fair share of before the event was over.
