Southern League cancels 2020 All-Star Game
More than five weeks after what was supposed to be Opening Day, still no Southern League baseball and it’s not trending in the right direction.
Today, the league officially canceled the All-Star Game, originally scheduled for June 23rd at the home of the Jackson Generals.
The annual home run derby is also a no-go and the site of next year’s All-Star festivities remains up in the air.
The Biloxi Shuckers played host to last year’s summer classic at MGM Park where the north beat the south by the score of 7-3.
