Southeastern Fire Chiefs Conference

The men and women who risk their lives to save our lives, homes and businesses from fire are gathering on the coast this week.

The Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs is holding their 88th Leadership Conference right here on the coast starting today.

This morning the conference started by honoring their fellow fire fighters who were lost in the line of duty.

Over the next few days, dozens of fire chiefs and fire fighters will be focused on natural and man-made disaster preparedness.

Coast fire officials hope others will learn from how they responded and rebuilt after hurricane Katrina.
