South Mississippi Summer fair in full swing

The 33rd Annual South Mississippi Summer fair is back and better than ever starting today!

This year’s fair is jammed back with all of the coast favorites like free shows, live music, games, more rides than ever before and of course the best fair food. You, your family and friends will also be able to catch shows like ‘Close Encounter of the Exotic Time’… And ’Extreme Illusions and Escapes starring Josh Knotts and Lea. Admission is 5 dollars each night but, kids 11 and under are free. There is also family nights tonight and Wednesday the 12th, where unlimited ride wristbands are half off the original 28 dollar price!

“It’s been here 33 years and every year we bring more and more to the fair. So this year we have more than ever and the aquarium, the new aquarium that is going up in Gulfport is going to be here and the train museum is coming. We have so much stuff for everybody to do, so everybody looks forward to it every single year,” says Katie Hearsling with the Coast Coliseum.

Sundays through Thursdays, wristbands for unlimited rides will be available for $28. They will be open weekdays at 5 p.m. and weekends at 1 p.m. The fair runs through June 16th.
