Beaumont, Texas sustained over 47 inches of rainfall and a widespread of flooding that lasted for several weeks after Hurricane Harvey. Biloxi PD and Papa John’s have decided to come forward and help out those officers and their families in Beaumont by collecting the needed items of cleaning supplies and hygiene products.
Officers and Papa John’s tell News 25 they felt the need to pay it forward. Officer Joey Payne said, “Not only are we bringing them items, we’re also bringing them some fellowship, also some guidance to tell them that it’s going to get better. It doesn’t look like it. It looks like the clean-up is going to take forever, but you will eventually get back to normal.”
Papa John’s General Manager Matt Wallace said, “Some of the main things, toilet paper, diapers, wipes, soap, just some of the stuff that people really need.”
You can drop off the needed items at any South Mississippi Papa John’s stores or the Biloxi Police Department until Sunday.
