Soup Kitchen Receives Donation

Christmas came early for a local soup kitchen this morning. Ocean Springs business owners presented The Lord is my Help soup kitchen and pantry with a check for over $2500, the biggest check the group has ever delivered during this annual holiday tradition that they look forward to each and every year.
Tim Wold said, “All the proceeds that were left over from the bicycles, along with another raffle from the community and residents here in Ocean Springs. The money was all pulled together and we came down today and we were proud to give them $2,546 today.”
General Manger of The Lord is my Help Barbara Ruddiman said, “We depend on what we get at this point of the year to last us almost into the summer. So, everything that we get we’re just so overjoyed that everyone is thinking about us and giving at this time.”
The group says the money will help out with a number of things, including the hundreds of meals the soup kitchen packages every day.
