SoSo Strong Foundation launches in Ocean Springs

Kids at the Little Children’s Park in Ocean Springs had their very own ‘glow wild’ party and it was all for a good cause.

Tonight, Angel and Josh Myers launched the SoSo Strong Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation in honor of their daughter Sophia, who passed away last October from her fight with DIPG. The foundation is all about finding a cure for this disease that has taken the lives of more than one child here on the Gulf Coast.

Angel Myers tells News 25 they even got a huge donation from actor Nicholas Cage which has given them a huge step closer to finding the cure. “Most of our money is going to go right into research. We are partnering up with Michael Mosier. Later this year, probably in the September time frame, we’ll be contributing grants and stuff. We wanted to announce it publicly because we want to thank him. That’s a lot of money. More importantly, thank you for sharing your heart with us. He was just so kind and compassionate and we are just, thank you.”
