Solid waste public meeting in Gulfport

Happening tonight, a public meeting for Gulfport residents to discuss the city’s solid waste contract with Waste Pro.
About a month ago, the city announced they were breaking away from the Harrison County Utility Authority’s contract with Team Waste, signing a new six year contract with Waste Pro. That’s why the city is opening up the floor for any resident or business owner in the city to voice their opinions or concerns about the Waste Pro contract at a meeting tonight at Lyman Community Center at 6 p.m.
Tonight’s meeting is one of several being held over the next few days to ensure everyone who wants to take part in the discussion can do so.
If you can’t make tonight’s 6 o’clock meeting at the Lyman Community Center, there will be a meeting Thursday September 21st at Hansboro Community Center at 6 p.m., another meeting will take place Monday, September 25th at West Side Community Center at 6 p.m., and a meeting will also take place Tuesday, September 26th at the Lyman Community Center at 6 p.m.
