Sneak Peek Inside the Scarlet Pearl Casino

The City of D’iberville rolls the dices on the Scarlet Pearl Casino and Resort. The grand opening is just around the corner.
After years of planning, constructing, and perfecting, the grand opening of the Scarlet Pearl Casino and Resort is now just weeks away. Carpenter Sidney Cooper said, “I feel like the grand opening is going to be the best thing going on, one of the best things going on, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
The property includes a café, steakhouse, a noodle bar and buffet, which offers diners a clear view of Biloxi’s back bay. The 60,445 square foot casino floor includes 45 table games, 10 live poker games and over 1,300 slot machines. Carpenter Paul Gibbs said, “It’s pretty awesome. The casino part is really nice. The bedrooms and stuff, the hotel part, is really nice too.”
All 300 of the casino’s hotel rooms are unique due to the infrastructure. The floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glass rooms offer guests a different experience each time they stay. The designs on the inside of the casino are inspired by what’s on the outside of the doors. Architects wanted to incorporate a lot of light, air and reflection of water. Project architect Nory Hazaveh said, “So, what we did conceptually was took the reflection from outside and brought it inside.”
The casino and resort provides fun for the whole family to enjoy with its 36-hole miniature golf course, Lava Links.
“It’s exciting to see the town population really welcome this project and other entertainment designers and architects. I’ve been doing this for over 32 years but this is one of the nicest towns I have worked in,” said Hazaveh.
The Scarlet Pearl will employ over 1,200 associates when the doors open on December 9th.
The total cost of the project was $290 million.
