Small businesses can apply for Anchor Square in Pascagoula

The City of Pascagoula wants to give small businesses a chance to grow.
Applications are now available for seven of the cottages in Anchor Square on Delmas Avenue downtown. The new shopping and dining boardwalk was developed to be used as a start-up destination for small businesses.
Pascagoula Mayor Dane Maxwell tells News 25 that several local businesses gained success out of Anchor Square.
Mayor Maxwell says it’s a good way for entrepreneurs to test the waters in Pascagoula without the huge cost of overhead. “We want small businesses to come in here and grow and we want to provide them with an easy access to do that and we also want them to know that we are now business friendly. We’ve not always had that reputation, but under my administration the answer is yes, we’re going to do it.”
