Sixth arrest made in Officer McKeithen’s death

Wanya Toquest Atkinson, 20 years old, of Oceans Springs was arrested today and charged with Accessory After the Fact to Capital Murder. The arrest stemmed from the ongoing investigation into the Murder of Biloxi Police Officer Robert McKeithen.

The Gulfport Police Department and Harrison County Sheriff’s Office have received ongoing assistance from several local, state and federal law enforcement entities. Wanya Atkinson is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $500,000 by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.

Wanya Atkinson is the brother of Darian Tawan Atkinson who was arrested for the Capital Murder of Officer McKeithen. This is the sixth arrest in this investigation.  Andre Anderson Sullivan Jr., Joshua Michael Kovach, Dalentez Latavian Brice, and Darion’s Atkinsons’ other brother, Davian Lewanika Atkinson, were also arrested for Accessory After the Fact.
