Six dead in Milwaukee after gunman opens fire at Molson Coors headquarters

(NBC News) — Six people were killed Wednesday when a gunman opened fire at the Molson Coors headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Schools and businesses near the campus were locked down as police responded.

Mayor Tom Barrett confirmed the fatalities to reporters.

“What I know is there are multiple people have died and they’re doing a sweep to make sure nothing else is going to be discovered,” Barrett said.

Police later confirmed the gunman killed five people before taking his own life.
