Singing for the Salvation Army

The Salvation Army provides more than one million services each year to residents in South Mississippi.

Tonight, country music singer Jimmy Wayne will take center stage to entertain and serve as keynote speaker at one of the nonprofit’s biggest fundraisers of the year.

As a boy, Jimmy Wayne was in the foster care system and he received a guitar from the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program. Now he is eager to pay it forward and has residents and leaders excited for tonight’s fundraising event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pascagoula. Hilton Garden Inn Director of Sales and Marketing Tammy Moore said, “The hotel opened in 2014. To my knowledge, this is the biggest celebrity we’ve had other than the secretary of the Navy and former Senator Thad Cochran.”

The fundraiser is tonight at Pascagoula’s Hilton Garden Inn. You can show up at 6:30 to purchase tickets or call 228-762-7222 for more information. Sponsorships are still available.
