Singing River Hospital Unveils New Southeast Tower
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday, showcasing the newly remodeled building. The demolition project removed everything but the structure of the building. Executives say they’ve added the latest technologies for providing healthcare to patients in a more comfortable environment.
Kevin Holland, C.E.O. of Singing River Health System, says, “I was indeed born in this hospital. When I was six years old, I broke my femur bone in half. I spent six weeks in this hospital in traction. I walk today without a limp because of Singing River Hospital. So this hospital, like many of you, has a very special meaning to me.”
Renovations on the three story building began in March of 2013 and took 18 months to complete.
