Silver Slipper Cuts Ribbon on New Hotel

Today, the Silver Slipper Casino reached a milestone years in the making as officials cut the ribbon on the casino’s brand new hotel tower.
The Silver Slipper opened a portion of the hotel earlier this summer, but now the $20 million project, showcasing 120 rooms and nine penthouse suites, is complete.
While casino leaders say this hotel project has officially taken three years to get done, it’s actually been in the works for much longer. Silver Slipper Casino General Manager John Ferrucci said, “I’ve been involved in this project since the beginning. We went to Wall Street back in ’04 to raise the money initially. We were here from the time we made the first design moves and put the first shovel in the ground. So, this is kind of a culmination of ten years of effort and we’re just so proud of it. It came out great.”
While today is the grand opening, rooms and suites will be available to the public starting tomorrow.
