Shuckers Ethan Small continues assault on Double-A hitting

While Mississippi State heads off to the College World Series without Ethan Small, the former MSU ace is still pitching just as well in the month of June as he did with the Oma-Dawgs.

On Saturday, the fourth ranked prospect of the Milwaukee Brewers dazzled in a home game against the Mississippi Braves, throwing a career best six-and-a-two-third innings with a career best 12 strikeouts.

Small gave up just five hits, one walk, and one earned run, but got literally no run support and got tagged with the loss.

In the outing, Small lowered his ERA to 2.36 across seven starts with 58 punchouts in 34-and-a-third innings.

Shuckers not getting that kind of performance on the mound tonight, giving up eight runs to the Rocket City Trash Pandas in what turned out to be yet another loss. 8-6 final.
