Shuckers catcher Payton Henry promoted to Triple-A Nashville Sounds

In the minor leagues, Shuckers catcher Payton Henry becomes the second Biloxi player to earn a Triple-A promotion in as many days, following in the footsteps of Mississippi State alum Ethan Small.

In 30 games with the Double-A Shuckers, Henry lived up to his billing as the 19th ranked prospect of the Milwaukee Brewers, hitting at a clip of .315 with five doubles, a triple, a home run, 10 RBIs, and 11 runs scored, ending his time in Biloxi on a 16 game on-base streak.

Also, a monster behind the plate, he’s second in all of Double-A and fourth in all of minor league baseball with 15 base runners caught stealing.
