Shoe Drive in Gulfport

Chick-fil-A and the Junior Auxilary of Gulfport have teamed up to provide shoes for kids in need.
Today, starting at 5 p.m. at the Chick-fil-A in Gulfport, they will begin collecting shoes for kids, sized toddler to adult teen. Each pair of new shoes brought in will get you a card for a free entrée. They will also be hosting a party with games and prizes and it’s all for a good cause.
If you cannot make it tonight, they will also be hosting another party at the Chick-fil-A in D’Iberville on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport member Christen Duhe said, “The Harrison County Youth Shelter is one of our major projects and often times children will be there and they will only have the clothes that they showed up with. We like to donate the shoes this year. Last year, we did pajamas and every year we just do one or the other depending on what the shelter needs. We just support the children’s shelter to make sure the children have something new that they can keep with them.”
If you can’t make it either night, you can drop the shoes off anytime this week at Chick-fil-A in Gulfport or D’Iberville.
