The Shed honors workers on Labor Day

No one envies those who are spending their Labor Day laboring, but one of the best known eateries in South Mississippi is making it a little bit easier.
The Shed Barbeque and Blues Joint is giving away free pulled pork sandwiches from now until 9 p.m. to show their appreciation to all the hard workers living along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The promotion is limited to one per person and runs through today only.
The Shed team also wants to remind customers that they can also bring out relief items to donate to Harvey victims. Shed Owner/Operator Brooke Lewis said, “We’re looking to give away anywhere between 700 to 1,000 free pork sandwiches. We’re basically just honoring the workers in this country that really contribute to the prosperity and the strength of the country. We’re kind of just giving back and we’re excited because it’s the sixth annual and it’s been a great Labor Day every year with people just coming in and getting fed by the Shed on us.”
If you want to get in on the Labor Day giveaway, the Shed is located just north of the interstate at Exit 57.
