She was arrested on a misdemeanor and died in jail. MBI is investigating.

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV) — The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has been called in after a Vancleave woman died in the Jackson County Jail on Friday.

Sheriff Mike Ezell said Jennifer Carol Foster, 50,  was arrested Friday by Ocean Springs Police on a misdemeanor charge.

She was booked into the adult detention center and placed in a holding cell.

Ezell said around 10:30 p.m. Friday during routine inmate checks, deputies found her not breathing.

They performed CPR and an ambulance was called.  Medical personnel were unable to revive her.

No other information is available.
