Severe weather causing floods in D’Iberville neighborhoods

The severe weather in the area is causing many areas to flood.

Cars were parked along Highway 67 just north of D’Iberville and south of D’Iberville High School due to flooded streets. Some residents living in the Wells Ferry Landing Community tried driving through the flooded streets, but most residents did not even chance it.

Resident Kevin Fisher tells News 25 the water was even higher overnight. “It’s been crazy. We can’t get a leg up. I got flooded in last night. You can see if you look down there, it’s not too much. It’s going to be up to my hood or if not, pretty close to it. It was probably four plus feet of water right here at the entrance last night.”

Fisher says that this is not the first time this has happened in the Wells Ferry Landing Community.
