Severe weather causes flooding in Biloxi neighborhood
Torrential rain, high winds and thunderstorms caused flash flooding across South Mississippi.
News 25’s Spencer Pullen was in Biloxi to talk to affected nearby residents.
Good morning South Mississippi, currently I’m in the area of Mill Road and Champlin Street, where you can see there’s a lot of high-standing water and debris in the road.
Make sure while you’re getting your day started to avoid high-standing water in roadway areas — not only here in this neighborhood but in other areas across South Mississippi.
We spoke with one resident who says it floods often in here the neighborhood when it rains like this, and his advice is to take it slow.
“We have trucks and stuff and it can ruin the vehicles and stuff,” said resident Jacob Johnson. “You see we got a 2 by 4 here in the road and it could damage the vehicles.”
