Seniors Enjoy Mardi Gras Mambo Gulfport

The good times continue to roll as we approach the big Mardi Gras weekend. A few hundred seniors packed the Lyman Commuinty Center this morning for the second annual Mardi Gras Mambo.
Seniors enjoyed music, food, dancing, and had the chance to speak with local vendors.
Marlin and Peggy Lutman, a couple of snowbirds from Ohio, tell News 25, they first came down for Mardi Gras three years ago and wouldn’t think of spending another one away from the Coast. “I said let’s go down and just see what it’s like and we never left. We just come back every year. There’s so much to do down here,” said Marlin.
“Friendly, very friendly, very considerate,” said Peggy.
“The people are just fabulous,” said Marlin.
“I’ll tell you what else we like about this place is the king cakes, oh they’re good,”said Peggy.
The Mardi Gras Mambo was hosted by Boyington Health and Rehabilitation Center in partnership with the city of Gulfport and AMR.
