Senior Shrimp Boil and Bingo

You may have got real lucky if you were a senior and came hungry to the big shrimp boil and bingo in Saucier this afternoon.
Three hundred pounds of shrimp, potatoes and 300 ears of corn was more than enough to feed the group at the new senior center in Saucier.
A community activity organization with St. Joseph Hospice hosted bingo and provided food for the free shrimp boil. The organization travels to different senior centers around the Coast and runs different events and activities.
News 25 caught up with bingo player Rebecca Devitt to see if luck was on her side. “All of us senior citizens like to play bingo. All the activities that go on, we always have a good time.”
St. Joseph Hospice employees say they have as much fun as the seniors when they run events like this.
If you’re a senior and you’re not too old for a good time, contact St. Joseph Hospice for a list of local activities and outings.
