Second suspect charged in Dec. 1 shooting in Escatawpa
A second suspect has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred Dec. 1, 2021 in Escatawpa.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell announced in a press release that Bradley Jacob, 30, has been charged with aggravated assault and shooting into a motor vehicle.
Ezell said bond for the shooting into a vehicle charge was set at $250,000 and the aggravated assault charge carries a $10,000 bond.
Bay St. Louis Police notified deputies in Jackson County of the Dec. 1 shooting at a home on Prescott Drive in Escatawpa. When deputies arrived at the residence, they found several people in a minivan parked in the driveway.
A search of the van turned up a handgun and shell casings were found in the driveway.
Christopher Ramon Freeman, 25, of Moss Point was charged in the case. He is in the Jackson County jail with no bond, charged with two counts of a aggravated assault, shooting into a motor vehicle and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Mississippi Department of Corrections has a hold on Freeman on unrelated charges.
Ezell the victim is from Bay St. Louis and a friend drove him to the hospital.
