Second Annual Guardian Angel Gala

Doctors and nurses spend time saving others lives. Tonight, it was all about their patients giving back to them.
In the Island View Casino Resort Beach Tower, hundreds of guests showed up for the Memorial Hospital Foundation’s second annual Guardian Angel Gala. The Guardian Angel Program allows grateful patients the opportunity to make a donation to the foundation in honor of a doctor, nurse or other staff member or volunteer who made a difference in their care or the care of a loved one at Memorial.
Memorial Hospital Foundation President Dave Estorge said, “Proceeds for tonight are going to be earmarked for our neonatal intensive care unit, the Coast’s only neonatal intensive care unit. What we are going to do is we’re going to identify some needs that the unit has and purchase  lifesaving equipment for them.”
The event started at 6:30 and all proceeds that are going toward the neonatal  intensive care unit will be from a silent auction with items such as jewelry, sports gear and original paintings.
