Search team looking for missing dog from Texas
Locals are putting together a search team over the weekend to help bring Daisy the dog back to her family in Houston, Texas.
Her family was in town on vacation when they found out Daisy was accidentally let out by housekeeping at the Clarion Inn in Gulfport. The German Shepard pinscher mix was last seen three days ago off Highway 49 on East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Shepherd of the Gulf Director Lynda Favre tells News 25 Daisy is more than just a dog; she is a family member who needs to be reunited with her family. “It’s going to take a community effort. These people came here on holiday from Houston, Texas. This poor family never expected anything like this to happen. They came in with their loved one, their pet. They took off to Ship Island the first day they were here and they never expected to get a call like this.”
There is now a $500 reward for anyone who can find Daisy. Anyone interested in volunteering in the search can contact Favre at 228-229-8980.
