Seal of approval for PRCC’s Seth Smith

From East Central High School to Pearl River Community College, new Head Football Coach Seth Smith has received nothing but praise since taking over the program last month.

But the only opinion that really matters is that of family and lucky for Coach Smith, he’s getting plenty of that from his father-in-law who just so happens to be heading to the 5A State Title game on Saturday in his final season with Picayune.

Here’s Dodd Lee. “I think they have the right guy. He’s going to bring a lot of enthusiasm. He knows what matters in football and what doesn’t matter. And he’ll be a great leader for them, and I think when he feels the team, you’re going to see a team that plays with a lot of effort, and that’s all you can ask for. I mean the recruiting will come if you get the job done. You’ll be able to recruit, and he’s going to get a great effort out of those kids.”

Coach Smith led East Central to the 4A State Championship game as recently as 2017 while Coach Lee will be trying to win his first since 2013.
