Seabee base holds pinning ceremony
More than two dozen newly promoted Navy chiefs and two master sergeants were honored at the Seabee Base in Gulfport today.
Family and friends of the chief selectees pinned the anchor shaped CPO rank on their collars and placed the hats with their new ranks on their heads. This ceremony marks the end of a six week training period that introduced the selectees to challenges designed to build leadership and give them a better understanding of their role as a Navy chief.
In addition to the 28 newly pinned chiefs, two Air Force selectees were promoted to the rank of master sergeant making this pining ceremony a joint-service celebration.
