Sea Wolves Reunion Party

Hockey may not be officially back in South Mississippi, but the Coast’s favorite team will be in town on Friday.
The Island View Casino Resort is hosting a Sea Wolves reunion on Friday at their Gulf Breeze Bar. A number of players from the 1999 Kelly Cup winning team will be there for fans to mingle with including beloved Coach Bruce Boudreau, who is now the head coach for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild.
Ed Layton, a friend of Boudreau’s, is organizing the event. He tells News 25 the Mississippi Gulf Coast is special to the coach’s heart and they wanted to do something special for him. “Well he doesn’t know completely about the whole event so there’s a bit of a surprise here. He knows that we’re getting together with a couple of the regular people that he’d like to see, but hopefully we have several hundred fans turn out and that would be a big surprise for him. We’ve got a surprise welcome home cake for him and some of the players that he doesn’t know are going to be here.”
Fans are encouraged to wear Sea Wolves jerseys.
The party will be from 7 to 9 at the Gulf Breeze Bar on the beach side of Island View.
