Scott Walker Released From Halfway House
Scott Walker was released from a halfway house this morning after completing his sentence for public corruption convictions.
The former business consultant was sentenced in July of 2014 for convictions of fraud and conspiracy to defraud the government. The charges involved federal money given to the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources which was then used to buy a waterfront property owned by Scott Walker.
Walker completed his prison term in January and has been serving the remainder of his time at a federal halfway house in Montgomery, Alabama. News 25 spoke with Walker this morning and he tells us “it feels great to be home. Four hundred and seventy five days is a long time to be away from the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
