School Funding Public Hearing Jackson, MS

For at least one hour Thursday afternoon, people will be able to orally address lawmakers about possible changes to Mississippi’s method of funding public schools.
Speaker of the house Philip Gunn and lt. Governor Tate Reeves made the announcement yesterday.
The meeting will be with EdBuild, a non-profit hired to look at and recommend suggestions to revamping the state’s current educational funding formula.

Leaders said Monday that people will be allowed to speak for up to three minutes apiece at the state capitol.
