Forecasters from the National Weather Service are predicting heavy, steady rain to arrive in our area for the next four (4) days beginning Wednesday, August 10, 2016 – Saturday, August 13, 2016. Based on this information the Jackson County Board of Supervisors has declared a Local Emergency and issued a Proclamation.

It is estimated that parts of Jackson County may receive as much as 15 inches of rain during this time and, as an act of caution, free sand and sandbags will be available throughout the County at the following locations:
