Sand on Roadways Along Highway 90

If you take a stroll along Highway 90 in Biloxi, it looks as though Mr. Sandman has paid a visit.
With recent storms, the sand has blown onto the streets and accumulated in turning lanes, as well as along the boardwalk where residents walk and bike. Biloxi Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich says now that the holidays are over, the sand has to go. Starting next week, he has a plan in action to say goodbye to the hazardous sand along the roadways.
The Department of Public Works will start cleaning up on one end of Highway 90 and the Department of Parks and Recreation will begin cleaning up on the other end.
