Sand cleanup on Highway 90

With all of the wind Barry brought into our Coast this weekend, you have probably noticed how those winds pushed a good amount of sand onto Highway 90.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is always tasked with the process of taking care of the mess left behind on the highway. Multiple crews were out this morning.

MDOT says it could take a few days for the highway to be completely clear partly due to the heavy amounts of sand built up in the parking areas and turning lanes.

Make sure you are taking the necessary precautions when driving around MDOT workers.
